Share Your Centennial Weekend Memories

The Haileybury Public School Centennial has now come and gone. The weekend was celebrated in the true “Haileybury Spirit” with many people reconnecting with old friends and teachers. For those who were able to attend, take a moment to share your reflections of the weekend by posting on our Message Board.

Golf Tournament Registration

There was a mistake in the sign-ups for the golf tournament. Those that used the provided email address to register for the tournament, your registration may have been lost. “Headframe” Appearing Saturday Night

It has been announced that the band Headframe will be appearing on Saturday night at the waterfront for the Beer Tent and Bands. Headframe was born out of a band called Natural Fact, which started gigging in 1990. The band is made up of Eva Graves on keyboards and occasionally double bass, Tom Preston on bass guitar, Terry Graves on rhythm guitar and mandolin and the songwriter of the group, Amanda Mongeon on drums and Jeff Lundmark on lead guitar and banjo. Breakfast Brunch Announced

Join us starting at 8:00 am on Sunday, September 6th at the Cobalt-Haileybury Curling Club for the Haileybury Heritage Museum Breakfast Brunch. The cost is only $7.50 and will be served until 12:30 pm. The menu consists of bacon, eggs, ham, homemade beans, pancakes & syrup, potatoes, toast, tea & coffee. The breakfast is hosted by the Haileybury Heritage Museum in partnership with Gisele’s Catering.

“Fun Run” Route

We have now posted the route for the Fun Run to be held on Sunday morning starting at the Haileybury Arena. Registration will take place between 8:30 am and 9:30 am, and the kids’ 1 km run will begin at 9:45 am, and the 5 km and 10 km runs following at 10:00 am.

Online Registration Now Live

You can now register online for the Haileybury Public School Centennial. All who are planning on attending the weekend are asked to register using our online registration form. You may now also register and pay online for the Dinner & Dance to be held on Sunday, September 6th. The costs for the dinner & dance are $50.00 per couple and $28.00 per person.  You are asked to register for the dinner & dance as soon as possible as it is being catered and we need to know the numbers.  Let’s start registering!

Looking for participants for Centennial Fun Run

You can now register for the Centennial Fun Run that will take place on Sunday, September 6th, sponsored by The Running Link in New Liskeard. The Fun Run is open to every one with a 1 km run for kids starting at 9:45 am, and a 5 km and 10 km run starting at 10:00 am. See the Events page for more details.

Centennial Celebration Announced

Haileybury Public School will be celebrating it’s 100th anniversary in September 2009. The Centennial Celebration will take place in Haileybury, Ontario starting on Friday, September 4th and concluding on Sunday, September 6th.  More details about planned events and the schedule for the weekend will be posted on the “Schedule” page on our website.
